About Bethesda

Premium contracting in Bethesda.

We work in three Bethesda ZIPs, not just downtown. ZIP 20816 is the Westmoreland and Kenwood side. ZIP 20817 runs toward Bradley Boulevard. ZIP 20814 is closer to downtown and NIH. A Bethesda mailing address is not one municipality. The drive from Martinsburg is I-81 north to I-70 east, then I-270 south toward the Beltway.

Building permits go through the Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services, 2425 Reedie Drive, 7th floor, Wheaton, phone 240-777-0311. The lobby is open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the county says no appointment is necessary. Bethesda is not one of the towns that add a municipal permit. The Town of Oakmont, which has a Bethesda 20817 mailing address, is county permit only.

The county home-improvements list puts interior alteration and electrical work on the likely-permit side, and cabinets, floor coverings, and bathroom caulking on the likely-no-permit side. Plumbing questions go to WSSC. Electrical work is a separately licensed trade. Real Elite does not take electrical work. The remodeling here is kitchens, bathrooms, and finished lower levels. The price is a free written estimate after a site walk.

Bethesda FAQ

Questions Bethesda homeowners ask first.

Which office permits a Bethesda kitchen or bath?+

Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services, 2425 Reedie Drive, 7th floor, Wheaton, phone 240-777-0311. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Bethesda itself is not on the county list of towns that add a municipal permit.

Is every Bethesda 20817 address the same permit path?+

No. The county lists the Town of Oakmont, which uses a Bethesda 20817 mailing address, as county permit only. A Bethesda mailing address is not automatically Oakmont. The parcel decides.

What does remodeling in Bethesda, MD cost?+

Every Bethesda kitchen, bathroom, and lower level is a free written estimate after a site walk. ZIPs 20816, 20817, and 20814 are not one layout, and the estimate is for the house in front of us.
